David Klahr, MD

Dr Klahr grew up in Brooklyn and then graduated from the 7 year combined BS/MD program at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at CCNY. He did a Schizophrenia Research Fellowship, focusing on side effects of antipsychotic s at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Geriatric Psychiatry Research Fellowship at Cornell University Medical College. He has extensive clinical experience in psychopharmacology treating adult and geriatric patients with mood disorders, anxiety and schizophrenia. He has also spent his career teaching Psychiatry residents and medical students about how to care for people with these conditions. He is currently the Physician-in Charge of the general Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel.
