Dr. Singer is a member of the faculty at Mount Sinai St. Luke's/ Roosevelt where she is the director of research for the Global Health division. She also works on issues of health and human rights with the NGO HealthRight International and the Libertas Center for Human Rights, a comprehensive treatment program for survivors of torture and asylum seekers sponsored by the Elmhurst Hospital Emergency Department. She has worked in International Emergency Medicine and complex emergencies in Africa, South America, India, and Eastern Europe, and has been involved with the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Cambodia, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, to implement a national program for enhanced screening and early detection of cervical cancer.
