Dr. Weinberg has been certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1982. He received his BA, summa cum laude, from Yeshiva University and received his medical degree from Cornell University. He completed his residency training at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He is a member of numerous societies including a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Association of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, Plastic Surgery Research Council, American Society for Peripheral Nerve, New York Surgical Society, and New York Academy of Medicine. His name is listed in Marquis Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Science and Engineering. He was director of the Microsurgical Research Laboratory in the division of Plastic Surgery from 1982-2000 and has authored numerous articles in this particular field. His clinical interests include cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He has a special interest in minimal scar cosmetic surgery as well as innovative approaches to the surgical treatment of neurofibromatosis.
