As a physician (currently not practicing), epidemiologist and researcher, Dr. Poeran has extensive experience in epidemiologic study design, subsequent data analysis and programming using large (national) databases. Topics mostly include Perinatal and Perioperative Epidemiology, and general Quality of Care issues. In addition to scientific manuscripts, he has written several health reports translating study findings into useful information for policy makers.
