Dr. Mary O’Sullivan’s research interests focus on smoking cessation and intervention programs, especially within New York City and State. She has received support from the New York City Department of Health to investigate nicotine replacement therapies, and has also received grants from both the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Bureau of Tobacco Control and the Centers for Disease Control via the Fund for Public Health in New York City to study the impact that smoking cessation clinics have on intern behavior. Additionally, she has led a smoking intervention program for HIV-positive outpatient, and also served as co-investigator for a lung cancer screening study.
