Prameet Singh, MD

Prameet Singh, M.D., is the Psychiatry Residency Training director at Mt. Sinai- SLR, and the Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He received his medical degree from the University of Delhi and completed his Internship and Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York where he also completed a Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry.
Dr. Singh has special expertise in addiction psychiatry and is frequently called on to consult on complex cases with comorbidity. He has also worked extensively with physicians that suffer from addictive disorders. Prior to his being appointed as Program Director, he served as Director of the Division of Addiction psychiatry at Beth Israel Medical Center, and also was program director for the fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry.
While his clinical work has focused on the management of comorbid psychiatric and addictive disorders, he has spent much of his career teaching residents, and medical students. He is the recipient of several awards for resident teaching, as well the APA’s Nancy Roeske award for excellence in medical student education.
