Dr. Scarlett McKinsey received her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and went on to complete her pediatric residency, chief residency and neonatal-perinatal training at Mount Sinai. She was on faculty at Weill Cornell Medical College where she developed and interest in medical simulation and newborn resuscitation. She returned to Mount Sinai and joined the faculty in August 2015. She is currently the Director of neonatal simulation.

Dr. McKinsey’s research interests are the fetal and newborn kidney with a specific focus on the isolation of urinary exosomes. She is also interested in newborn resuscitation and medical education. She has a publication submitted on the timing of discontinuation of newborn resuscitation in the delivery room.
