Stephen Schneider, PhD

Dr Schneider is a Clinical Psychologist involved mostly with training Psychiatric Residents and Psychology Trainees in Adult Individual, Couples and Group Psychotherapy. He has been on the Faculty at Beth Israel Hospital for over 5 years, after having been on the Faculty in the Department of Psychology at UCLA.
Dr. Schneider has training in Behavioral Medicine and has worked extensively with patients suffering from AIDS and HIV-related Illnesses, as well as patients with Chronic Pain. He works for a psychoanalytic framework, but utilizes cognitive, behavioral and mindfulness approaches in the services of his patients. He has worked extensively with issues of sexuality and sexual behavior, as well as gender.
