Zorica Filipovic-Jewell, MD is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. After receiving her MD from University of Belgrade, Dr. Filipovic-Jewell completed her residency at Maimonides Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. In addition, she did fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Filipovic-Jewell is board certified in both General Adult Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine.
Dr. Filipovic-Jewell’s special focus is comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment of kidney, liver and small bowel transplant patients in the Recanati Miller Transplantation Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is also working on the general psychiatric consultation liaison service treating psychiatric conditions in the medically ill.
Her areas of interest include: psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, chronic medical illness, forensic issues, organ transplant and HIV.
