At the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we have built local, national, and international networks with clinical, research, and educational partners to enhance our mission of advancing the art and science of medical care through learning, social concern, and scholarly activities.

As the medical school of the Mount Sinai Health System, we work in conjunction with our eight member hospitals to promote interdisciplinary collaborations across New York City.

Our national affiliations with additional hospitals and research powerhouses complement and enrich the school’s educational, research, and clinical programs. Our relationships with institutions across the world help pursue global solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in biomedicine.

One of our recent collaborations, with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has produced the Center for Engineering and Precision Medicine, which has joint offices and labs in New York City. This center builds on years of collaboration and focuses on performing basic research, developing therapeutic innovations, educating the next generation of biomedical leaders, and producing new health care products and processes to benefit patients.

In a time when health care is rapidly changing, these networks position our students, faculty, and trainees for state-of-the-art clinical care, research, and educational innovation.
